Week 3 - Targeting the Essentials: The Bullseye Approach

已更新:2024年8月19日

This week, I'll be using the Four F's of Active Reviewing to help me reflect on my experience and plan for the future by moving through four levels: Facts, Feelings, Findings, and Future.

Facts

In Week 3, I completed a task that I’ve named the "Bullseye Diagram." The idea behind this diagram was to list all the potential design methods and tools that might be used in my project, with the bullseye representing the most crucial elements, and the outer rings representing the less important aspects. By organizing everything in this manner, I was able to clearly see which methods and tools are essential for the success of the project. Finally, I distilled my findings into three plans: Plan A, which is the most challenging; Plan B, which is more feasible; and Plan C, which is the minimum viable option that must be completed.

Feelings

At first, I felt a mix of excitement and anxiety. The concept of the Bullseye Diagram seemed simple, but I was concerned about whether I could accurately prioritize the methods and tools. However, as I progressed, I began to feel more confident and organized. It was satisfying to visualize everything and see how each piece fit into the overall project. By the time I had finished, I had a much clearer understanding of the project's direction.

Findings

The process of creating the Bullseye Diagram was highly insightful. It forced me to carefully evaluate which design methods and tools are critical for the success of the project. By prioritizing these elements, I was able to focus my efforts more effectively, reducing the risk of being overwhelmed by less important tasks. This process also highlighted the importance of flexibility in planning. While Plan A is ambitious, having fallback options like Plan B and Plan C ensures that the project can still move forward smoothly, even if challenges arise.

Future

I will undertake several key tasks: I will delve into user needs to ensure that the project truly meets the actual requirements of the target audience. Simultaneously, I will conduct initial feasibility tests to verify whether the proposed solutions are viable in practice. I will also develop a Kawa model to help us better understand the core concepts and values of the project.
