DES100 - Fold & Snap

Introduce

I chose 50 pieces of paper of the same size as white squares and folded them in half. Why do I use the same size and color paper for my projects? Because it makes it easier for me to compare and select these creases better later on. I folded them in over 50 ways, including symmetry, irregularity, indentation, etc.

Top3 of a fold

These three folds are my favorites. They represent symmetry, intersection and random indentation respectively.

Three of the best photographs

Here are three of my best photographs. In the first one, the orientation of the whole paper was changed, and the folding traces were well reflected by lighting in the distance. This photo uses the TV gear of the camera and I have also taken several similar ones, but the height and horizontal line of this photo is more aesthetic. The second one is placed squarely. And use the camera's P gear in the near place of the warm light, so the overall picture is yellow. In the third picture, the paper was placed in the same direction as in the second. The difference is that it lights up near the bottom left and you can see the three origami shadows stacked one on top of the other. This again uses the TV gear of the camera.

The first one is top1!

The biggest difference between the first photo and the other two photos is that it is more standard and reflects the performance of the creases on the paper. It is also due to the way it is placed. Because the creases that I've chosen are symmetrical and diagonal of the square and they're proportionally balanced. So this arrangement makes it more symmetrical. And its crease texture can be clearly displayed against the light. The other two photos don't have as much contrast as the first one so it looks like the overall balance of proportions and crease textures are not as good as the first one. The first sheet of paper is almost the same height and the horizontal lines are on the same line so it's more neat and clean.
